जिला – बिलासपुर -थाना सरकंडा क्षेत्र अंतर्गत त्रिवेणी नगर, गीता पैलेस के सामने स्थित एक हॉस्टल में युवक की संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में मौत हो गई। घटना की सूचना मिलने पर पुलिस मौके पर पहुँची और युवक को तत्काल उपचार हेतु अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया, जहाँ इलाज के दौरान उसकी मौत हो गई।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार दिनांक 27 दिसंबर 2025 को पुलिस को सूचना मिली कि त्रिवेणी नगर स्थित हॉस्टल में किराए से रह रहे सेवक सिंह के कमरे में उसका मित्र ओंकार श्रीवास उर्फ भोलू बेहोशी की हालत में पड़ा हुआ है। सूचना पर थाना सरकंडा पुलिस तत्काल मौके पर पहुँची, जहाँ ओंकार श्रीवास उर्फ भोलू अचेत अवस्था में मिला। उसके मुंह से उल्टी हुई थी, जो कपड़ों एवं बिस्तर पर फैली हुई पाई गई।
कमरे की तलाशी के दौरान पुलिस को मौके से शराब की कई शीशियाँ भी बरामद हुईं। युवक की गंभीर स्थिति को देखते हुए पुलिस द्वारा उसे उपचार के लिए सिम्स अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया, जहाँ उपचार के दौरान दिनांक 28 दिसंबर 2025 की सुबह उसकी मृत्यु हो गई।
घटना के संबंध में थाना सरकंडा में मर्ग क्रमांक 148/25 कायम कर पंचनामा की कार्रवाई की गई है। प्रथम दृष्टया मामला अत्यधिक मात्रा में शराब सेवन से मृत्यु का प्रतीत हो रहा है। वहीं, घटनास्थल का निरीक्षण फॉरेंसिक टीम द्वारा भी किया गया है।
पुलिस का कहना है कि पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट प्राप्त होने के पश्चात आगे की वैधानिक कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
