नेशनल हाईवे और शहर के प्रमुख मार्गों पर यातायात नियमों के उल्लंघन के विरुद्ध पुलिस की विशेष सख्ती।
बिलासपुर: जिले की यातायात व्यवस्था को सुगम, सुरक्षित और व्यवस्थित बनाने हेतु उप पुलिस महानिरीक्षक एवं वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक श्री रजनेश सिंह के दिशा-निर्देशन तथा अतिरिक्त पुलिस अधीक्षक (यातायात) श्री रामगोपाल करियारे के पर्यवेक्षण में बिलासपुर पुलिस द्वारा एक विशेष सघन चेकिंग अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। इस अभियान का मुख्य उद्देश्य लापरवाही पूर्वक और ‘नो पार्किंग’ क्षेत्र में वाहन खड़े कर आवागमन बाधित करने वाले चालकों पर अंकुश लगाना है।
ITMS तकनीक से बड़ी कार्रवाई
आधुनिक तकनीक का उपयोग करते हुए ITMS के माध्यम से पिछले दो वर्षों से अब तक कुल 27,824 लापरवाह वाहन चालकों के विरुद्ध ऑनलाइन चालान की कार्रवाई की गई है। इस दौरान कुल 1,14,16,300/- रुपये का शमन शुल्क अधिरोपित किया गया है। पुलिस ने स्पष्ट किया है कि केवल जुर्माना ही नहीं, बल्कि गंभीर उल्लंघन के मामलों में प्रकरण सीधे माननीय न्यायालय भेजे जा रहे हैं ताकि सख्त दंडात्मक कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित हो सके।
प्रमुख दंड एवं धाराएं
अभियान के दौरान मुख्य मार्ग पर खतरनाक तरीके से वाहन खड़ा करने (धारा 122/177), नो-पार्किंग (धारा 117/177) और पुलिस आदेशों की अवज्ञा (धारा 179) करने पर 300 से 500 रुपये तक का जुर्माना वसूला जा रहा है। साथ ही, सड़कों पर बाधा उत्पन्न करने वाले वाहनों को तत्काल कार एवं बाइक लिफ्टर के माध्यम से उठाकर थाने लाया जा रहा है।
व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठानों को कड़े निर्देश
नेशनल हाईवे पर स्थित होटल, ढाबा, पेट्रोल पंप और अन्य दुकानों के मालिकों की बैठक लेकर उन्हें सख्त निर्देश दिए गए हैं कि वे अपने निजी सीमा क्षेत्र में पर्याप्त रिंग लाइट और प्रकाश व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित करें। साथ ही, अनिवार्य रूप से पुलिस वेरीफाइड सुरक्षा गार्ड नियुक्त करने और रिफ्लेक्टर व सेफ्टी कोन्स का उपयोग करने को कहा गया है, ताकि रात के समय हाईवे पर खड़े वाहनों के कारण होने वाली दुर्घटनाओं को रोका जा सके।
जनता से अपील
यातायात पुलिस बिलासपुर आम नागरिकों से अपील करती है कि वे अपने वाहनों को निर्धारित पार्किंग स्थलों पर ही खड़ा करें। सड़कों पर अवैध पार्किंग न केवल सुगम यातायात में बाधक है, बल्कि यह जानलेवा सड़क दुर्घटनाओं का मुख्य कारण भी बनती है। नियमों का उल्लंघन करने पर आने वाले दिनों में और भी कठोर कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
