Allotment of election symbols to candidates
Ambikapur 06 February 2025/ As per the program released by the State Election Commission for the three-tier Panchayat elections 2025, after receiving the nomination papers till 3 February and completing the scrutiny of nomination papers on 4 February, the process of withdrawal of nominations has also been completed on Thursday, 6 February. At the same time, election symbols have also been allotted to the candidates.
According to the information received, till the last date of filing nominations, 99 candidates had filed nominations for 14 posts of Zila Panchayat members. After scrutiny, nominations of all 99 candidates were found valid. Out of which, after 10 candidates withdrew their nominations, now a total of 89 candidates will participate in the election. Symbols have been allotted to all the candidates.
